Birthdays are my favorite! It has a different vibe. When the host announces, it’s time to welcome the birthday family. It is my cue to hurry to a spot where I’d get the perfect angle of the birthday family. It is during this time that I’d see love in their eyes. It’s a memory I’m sure they’d share a tender moment talking about one day. When Avery is a bit grown, perhaps?

I grew up not having a grand party like the ones I have photographed. Back then, our parties were done at home with just a homemade birthday cake, a serving of spaghetti, and a lot of Coke. Coke was a treat because soft drinks weren’t allowed. It is so much different than what we have now. Birthday parties are so grand just like weddings. I promised myself that my little Fin has to experience something like it. Toning it down a bit to accommodate his sensory-sensitive friends.

The Crafty Momma did a great job transforming the place. The ceiling work was so grand it made me feel that I was in candy land. I am sure the kids felt the same. As they enter the venue, they’d look up, and then their eyes would trail down to the stage decor. They’d run around just so happy to be there. And when the game starts, chaos starts especially during the bring-me-game. It is the time when adults would play a part too.

Sharing with you some photos of Avery’s candy-loaded birthday celebration.
