Fog House Intimate Wedding: Dennice & John

Intimate weddings make my heart soar. But for Dennice and John’s wedding, it was extra special. Dennice used to be my OJT. For a time, she edited the wedding photos that I photographed and prepared the Same Day Edit slideshow when all I wanted to do was shoot instead of worry about it.

We have come a long way!

I quietly cheered for her towards graduation. She likes to push herself and accomplish too many things at once. But what I love about Dennice is that she GETS me. She’s my go-to graphic and branding artist. She knows what I like. I don’t need to explain. She just knows what’s inside my head and how I want something to turn out. I also enjoy listening to her talk about her family and her blooming love life back when they were still boyfriend and girlfriend. Reminiscing about all these makes me miss busy wedding days and Arvin’s (my previous assistant) crazy laughter.

Her father during his speech said — “I value so many things in life and you are one of them Ate!” When I pointed the camera at her, she cried. She just couldn’t help it. It was during her wedding when I had to keep reminding myself that I was there to take pictures because I cried too. I was just so good at hiding behind my big camera.

Vers and Dennice congratulations! I am one of those quietly cheering for both of you. Excited about your new adventure next year.
