Because of this wedding, I want to learn how to speak Japanese!

It was a challenge when I photographed Naoki and Kana’s Shangri-la wedding.  Unlike the traditional Filipino wedding, I get word cues from the people present during the wedding.  It’s like preempting a moment to happen when words are spoken. Like when someone says something, as a photographer who is hungry for emotions, I look for and even wait for reactions.  May it be a shy smile or a contagious laugh followed by more exchanges.  I had to be more present and observant so I could really capture the love and happiness that day.

Kana did her hair and make-up. She took the time to fix herself.  Naoki was just inside the room doing his thing.  It was a refreshing break from the usual grind that happens during weddings.  I love how spontaneous it was.
