Axl's Birthday Shoot
It was a short birthday session that doubled as a family session on a hot September day. Seeing them again brought me to to a time when I first met Dr. Rin as Francis’s great love.
We went for a dive! Even underwater, I noticed how much they love each other. They held hands amidst the deafening silence the ocean brings. I was somewhere behind them taking little snippets with my ever-dependable but would sometimes fail me GoPro. Countless times I have wished for that kind of love. Back then, seeing people celebrate LOVE (as a wedding photographer) was enough. That was the great lie I ever told myself. It wasn’t enough! I wanted to experience it too.
It would’ve been epic if I documented their wedding, but the universe had other plans. A quick birthday session was the perfect way to weave that story altogether.
