Last week, I photographed the Ocampo family. It was an early morning shoot. Right after sunrise and before it got really hot. I woke up early like I always do and drove all the way to Shangri-la. It was less than an hour drive. No traffic! Plus the beach front was all ours. No crowd! and it was easy to pick a spot and shoot away. Maybe I should start encouraging families to go for morning sessions rather than the usual afternoon.

It was a lovely morning. I had all my favorite elements: the sea+family+shooting barefoot+early morning light. The light was perfect and the kids, fresh from sleep, were happy too. My most favorite part was towards the end when I told them to hug each other and really squeeze the kids in between. There’s nothing quite like it when the kids squeal in delight and the parents shine with so much love for their little ones.
