Two weeks ago I met Mac and Rei. They got married in Japan and wanted to have a post-wedding session in Cebu. Mac is Filipino while Rei is Japanese. Both of them are chefs.
I wanted to ask them about their work and how they met, but we didn’t have much time to share stories. They aren’t the first Filipino Japanese couple that I have photographed. I like listening to Filipinos speak Japanese. If there’s one language I want to learn, that’d be Japanese. How I wish I could visit Japan one day and immerse myself in their culture. A year ago, I taught English online. Most of my students were Japanese. I love that they value TIME and they are NEVER late.
