Last Sunday,  I traveled to Bantayan Island for Jerry and Carissa’s engagement session. Beach session always makes me happy. No fail! The light and the vibe inspires me. It is like before the session would even start, I would conjure images in my head already. It must be a result of the many photos I see on Pinterest or from the international photographers that I secretly stalk for some inspiration.  Their work always leaves me awestruck and that cup of desire to create emotion-filled photographs starts to fill!

We did one sunset session and a very early morning set. Both are my favorite time to shoot. The light is so pretty! I am hoping that for my future shoots, I’ll get to do more sunset and sunrise sessions. Light is important! I know that now. I’ve always known that it is, but lately I have been insisting to shoot only during favorable light condition.

I was a bit sad though when I was there.  Garbage was all over the place. Plastic here and there. The once very clean Bantayan beach front has started to lose its magic. I’ve been visiting this place every year.  I don’t want it to be the next Boracay Island. It’s sad when we don’t give back to nature. It’s doubly sad when nature decides to send us the bill.

Thank you Carissa and Jerry.
